Final phase in preparing the Draft Law on Territorial Organization

The Council of Europe provided assistance in drafting the new Law on Territorial Organization. The experts` team from Montenegro, Mr. Djordjije Blazic, Mr. Mikosav Boskovic and Deputy Minister of Interior and Public Administration, Mr. Vukcevic took a part at the round table “Law on Territorial Organization in Montenegro” organized by the COE in Strasbourg on 10 April and discussed the new Draft Law.

On 14 and 15 April, two international experts Mr. Tomas Horvath and Mr. Peter Warming visited Podgorica and shared their recommendation with local experts and other members of the working group. The joint work of four experts assisted by the Council of Europe was successful, and the Draft is already prepared. After receiving the final comments from the working group, the Draft will be finalized until 24 April, when is deadline for Draft’s finalization set by the Constitution of Montenegro.
