Date of accession
Montenegro became the 47th member State of the Council of Europe on 11 May 2007.
Committee of Ministers
- Foreign Minister Milan ROĆEN represents Montenegro in the Committee of Ministers.
- Zoran JANKOVIĆ has been the Chargé d’Affaires a.i. of Montenegro to the Council of Europe since December 2007.
Parliamentary Assembly
Montenegro is represented in the Parliamentary Assembly by a delegation of 3 representatives and 3 substitutes.
- Perdrag SEKULOVIC (SOC) is the head of the delegation.
Congress of Local and Regional Authorities of the Council of Europe
Montenegro is represented in the Congress by a delegation (http://www.coe.int/t/congress/whoswho/pays_en.asp?id=40) of 3 representatives and 3 substitutes. Mrs. Marija Maja Catovic, Mayor of Kotor (SOC) is the head of the delegation.
Budget
The Council of Europe’s ordinary budget for 2010 is € 211 027 100. The contribution of Montenegro is € 253 232.52 (i.e 0.1200 %).
Human Rights
Montenegro ratified the European Convention on Human Rights on 6 June 2006.

Council of Europe Treaties
To date, Montenegro has ratified and signed the following treaties
